The world’s second-longest-running IRONMAN takes place annually on the shore of Lake Taupō on 1 March 2025, attracting over 2000 athletes globally along with their devoted supporters.
The world-renowned race consists of a 3.8 km swim, 180 km rolling bike ride, and 42.2 km flat surface marathon run. While physically demanding, the course is set against the region’s picturesque backdrop and guides athletes through spectacular landscapes.
Completing the IRONMAN is a personal achievement of physical stamina and mental resilience, and the event also serves as a qualifying race for the IRONMAN World Championship.
